The anti-India move of the US Biden administration by joining hands with Pakistan

Washington: Pakistan’s Army Chief General Bajwa (COAS) is on a visit to the United States. While talking to the American officials at this time, General Bajwa made notable statements on the Kashmir issue. General Bajwa claimed that Pakistan is ready to discuss the Kashmir issue further if India is ready. While these claims were being publicised, US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome visited ‘PoK,’ i.e. Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. So much so that the US Ambassador made Pakistan happy by referring to this area as ‘Azad Jammu Kashmir’ (AJK). Due to this, it has become clear that the US president’s Biden administration freshly resumes the old move of putting pressure on India regarding Kashmir.

The anti-India move of the US Biden administration by joining hands with PakistanDuring his visit to the US, General Bajwa claimed that the Pakistan Army would stay away from politics. Not only this, but General Bajwa also claimed that his country was ready for further discussions with India on the Kashmir issue. Even earlier, General Bajwa had announced that the Pakistan Army was not against establishing peace with India. Therefore, it seems that during his visit to the US, he did not present a very different position while discussing with the American officials. Still, news about this is being publicised in the media. It says that the Biden administration has again adopted a policy of increasing the importance of Pakistan and putting pressure on India. US Ambassador to Pakistan visited ‘PoK’ on Monday and referred to it as Azad Kashmir. There are indications that this tour was organised only to provoke India.

By this, Biden’s administration has been preparing to increase the pressure on India. A few days ago, the US announced a package of 45 million dollars for the F-16 aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force. The visit of the US Ambassador to PoK after that cannot be a coincidence, but it clearly shows that these are anti-India tactics of the US. Moreover, steps may be taken by the Biden administration further to increase the importance of Pakistan in the future. The Pakistan Army Chief’s visit to the US seems to be part of these policies of the Biden administration.

In his visit to the US, Pakistan’s Army Chief General Bajwa tries to portray that his country expects reconciliation with India. Also, they have shown their readiness for talks with India. Presently, Pakistan has no option but to establish discussions and cooperation with India. The economy of this country has also gone down the abyss, along with its reputation. Pakistan struggles to establish cooperation with India in such a situation. However, the government of Pakistan itself had announced the cancellation of talks with India at all levels. India demands that Pakistan must first stop terrorism completely and take action against terrorists if this discussion is to be resumed. Unless it is accepted, India is not ready to restore prestige to Pakistan by talking to this country.

In such a situation, the Biden administration plays a ploy to use Pakistan for anti-India politics. In the past, the US had also drawn India’s wrath by making such a move. American analysts warn that establishing new cooperation with India and Pakistan would mean preparing for a fresh breach of expectation. A group of US analysts reminded the US that Pakistan had superficially cooperated with the US in the war against terrorism in Afghanistan but secretly helped the Taliban. By trusting such a country once again, these American analysts warned the Biden administration has been making a blunder.

India had refused to take a stand against Russia after the Ukraine conflict, as demanded by the Biden administration. Besides, by increasing the purchase of fuel from Russia, India had also made it aware that it would not be affected by the threats of the Biden administration. Furthermore, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar made it realise to the US that European countries have been buying fuel from Russia multifold than India. After this, the Biden administration seemed to intensify its moves against India and adopted policies that increased the importance of Pakistan. India has taken note of this. The EAM of India had reprimanded the US in the exact words against the package of 45 million dollars given to Pakistan by the Biden administration for F-16 aircraft in particular.

The United States had given a ridiculous revelation that the aid provided to Pakistan was not against India. But India knows the capability of these planes and where they will be used; everyone is also aware of this. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar had warned the US that the US could not fool India by giving unrealistic revelations. Even after this, the United States has maintained its policy to uphold Pakistan’s side and target India.
