VCOAS

The Vice Chief of the Army Staff (VCOAS) is second in command of the Indian Army next to Chief of the Army Staff. The office is held by a Three Star Officer in the rank of Lieutenant general. The current VCOAS is Lt Gen Sarath Chand who succeeded Lt Gen Bipin Rawat. wikipedia
