Srinagar : The tension in Jammu & Kashmir has begun to subside and the conditions are getting back to normal. However some separatist leaders are trying to continue the tension in this region and as preventive measures, leaders ‘Syed Ali Shah Geelani’ and ‘Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’ have been arrested. It has been reported that these arrests are over curfew violations. Mirwaiz Umar has said that India should not blame Pakistan for the unrest in ‘Jammu-Kashmir’.
‘Syed Ali Shah Geelani’ and ‘Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’, the leaders of the central separatist organization in Jammu-Kashmir called the ‘Hurriyat Conference’, violated the imposed curfew. Both of them were arrested as soon as they came out of their homes to address the people. Separatist leader Shabbir Shah has also been detained for the same reasons. Yasin Malik has also been imprisoned. The administration is seen to be vigilant to prevent these separatist leaders from spreading further violence in Jammu-Kashmir.

Although Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other separatist leaders have made such statements about Kashmir claiming no connection to Pakistan, the latter’s hand behind the violence and killings in the state has been proved on several occasions. This is testified by the statements made about Jammu-Kashmir by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. At the same time the statements made by Pakistan’s terrorist leaders Hafiz Saeed and Syed Salahudeen on the issues of Kashmir have revealed their true faces.
