Moscow/Paris: – Russia’s attack on Ukraine has already stunned the world and caused massive loss of life and property. However, there appear no signs to end the war. French President Macron has warned that Russia’s assault on Ukraine will intensify in the coming days. This warning has come after President Marcon and President Putin had a 90-minute conversation, which has caused concern for the world and the West.
The Russia-Ukraine war began eight days ago and has been prolonged and escalated by every passing day. The United States, Europe, and its allies have backed Ukraine by providing financial and military assistance. Meanwhile, Russia has continued to launch large-scale and intense attacks on key cities, including the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. In this scenario, the second conversation between Marcon and Putin has drawn everyone’s attention.
During the talks on Thursday, the Russian President clarified that Russia would not back down unless its objectives in Ukraine were met, which included disarming Ukraine and ensuring that it remained free of external influences. President Putin said that Russia is determined to achieve its military objective in Ukraine, and if there are attempts to delay the talks, then Russia’s demands could increase.
Meanwhile, after conversing with President Putin, President Macron stated that he is willing to stay connected with President Putin to end the conflict. Referring to Putin’s aggressive stance, Macron warned that this is Putin’s war, and he intends to gain total control of Ukraine, which would mean that the conflict would intensify in the coming days. French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian reiterated this information at a news conference. Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has accused Putin of posing a ‘threat’ to European security.
